CBSE Class 12 Maths Exam Analysis 2026: Students Find Exam Moderately Difficult, Section D Most Challenging

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) held the Class 12 Mathematics board examination on March 9, 2026 across various examination centres in India and abroad.

According to feedback from students and teachers, the paper was moderately difficult overall. While many students found the initial sections manageable, Section D was considered the most challenging, as it included longer and application-based questions that required deeper conceptual understanding.

Teachers noted that the exam followed the latest CBSE exam pattern and focused more on concept clarity, analytical thinking, and real-world application of mathematical concepts rather than direct formula-based questions.

Many students also said that time management became difficult during the last section, as the questions required multiple steps and detailed calculations.

Overall, the paper was considered balanced and aligned with the CBSE syllabus, and students who practiced previous year questions and sample papers were able to attempt most of the questions confidently.
