Himachal CM Announces 25% Women’s Quota in Class 3 Government Jobs

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, has announced a 25% reservation for women in Class 3 government jobs along with a ₹500 crore package to upgrade Nahan Medical College.

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has announced a 25 percent reservation for women in Class 3 government jobs in the state. The move aims to encourage greater participation of women in public sector employment and promote gender equality in government services.

During the announcement, the Chief Minister also introduced a ₹500 crore development package for upgrading Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Government Medical College in Nahan. The funding will be used to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve medical education facilities.

In addition, the state government confirmed the introduction of new postgraduate courses at PG College Nahan, which is expected to provide more higher education opportunities for students in the region.

Officials believe that these initiatives will contribute to both employment generation and improvements in educational and healthcare infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh.
