IIT Hyderabad launches MTech in AI/ ML in Chemical Engineering, and Computational Chemical Engineering

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has announced the launch of new MTech programmes in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning integrated with Chemical Engineering and Computational Chemical Engineering.

The newly introduced programmes aim to combine advanced chemical engineering concepts with modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and computational modelling. This interdisciplinary approach is expected to help students develop innovative solutions for complex industrial and scientific challenges.

According to the institute, the programme will focus on areas such as data-driven chemical process design, predictive modelling, computational simulations and intelligent process optimisation.

The initiative is designed to prepare students for careers in advanced research, chemical industries, data science and AI-driven engineering applications.

Admissions to these programmes will be based on GATE scores, and eligible candidates can apply through the official IIT Hyderabad admission portal.

With this initiative, IIT Hyderabad aims to strengthen research and education at the intersection of chemical engineering, artificial intelligence and computational science, aligning with the growing demand for interdisciplinary skills in modern industries.
