Theni District Election Officer and Collector Ranjeet Singh has instructed political parties and candidates not to stick posters or engage in wall writings in urban areas of Theni district ahead of the Assembly elections.
Theni District Election Officer and Collector Ranjeet Singh on Monday chaired a meeting with representatives of political parties regarding the upcoming Assembly elections. The Collector said in the four Assembly constituencies in the district: Andipatti, Periyakulam, Bodinayakanur and Cumbum, there would be a total of 1,394 polling stations. The Collector instructed political parties and candidates not to stick posters or engage in wall writings in urban areas of Theni district, citing the need to maintain cleanliness and prevent the spread of diseases. The instructions were given in the wake of the upcoming Assembly elections, which are scheduled to take place in the district soon.
