Two HSSLC Meghalaya Board Exams Postponed in Violence-Hit West Garo Hills

The Meghalaya Board of School Education has postponed two HSSLC (Class 12) examinations in West Garo Hills district due to violence in the region.

The Meghalaya Board of School Education has postponed two papers of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination in the West Garo Hills district due to the prevailing law and order situation in the region.

According to officials, the music and anthropology papers of the Class 12 board examinations were originally scheduled to be conducted on March 11 and March 12. However, the exams were postponed as a precautionary measure following incidents of violence reported in the district.

The board has stated that new dates for the postponed examinations will be announced later after reviewing the situation and ensuring the safety of students and examination staff.

This year, more than 29,000 students are appearing for the HSSLC examinations conducted by the Meghalaya Board of School Education.

Authorities have advised students and schools in the affected district to stay updated through official announcements regarding the revised examination schedule.
